This renovation initially started as a plan for expansion. The clients asked for an addition to their home that would provide another bedroom on the second floor to serve as a nursery for a baby on the way. At the first floor, the addition allowed for a much needed kitchen expansion where we were able to design a layout that nearly quadrupled the amount of usable workspace - creating a separation of surface zones for cooking, for dishwashing, for kids, and as a bonus, for pouring a nice glass of wine.
